3PlayPlus and the Docklands Development Authority have joined forces to transform the Dublin Docklands into a giant WIFI broadband hotspot. The service, called DockNet, provides high-speed broadband to Dublins Docklands via wireless technology enabling thousands of residents, business owners and visitors to experience a rich Internet experience without being tied to their desk.

DockNet is the largest wireless hotspots of its kind in Ireland. DockNet Wireless service will fully support advanced digital services such as VoIP, Broadcast TV, CCTV security and video applications, enriching the digital experience throughout the whole area and delivering broadband connection speeds.

DockNet WIFI provides users with wireless internet access via your WiFi enabled laptop, PDA, MP3 player, mobile phone or even the digital camera. Users need a WiFi enabled (802.11g or b) computing. Most laptops and PDAs are now WiFi capable so no extra hardware is needed. A standard internet-ready browser on any operating system. No additional software is required.
